Who you’re helping
The Northern Suburbs Football Association (NSFA) is the organising body that administers community football in the northern suburbs region of Sydney, New South Wales and runs football competitions across men’s, women’s, mixed, boys and girls divisions for its 30 member clubs, which range from Brooklyn on the banks of the Hawkesbury River down to North Sydney United on the northern shores of Sydney Harbour. In 2021 the Association had 18,153 playing members and close to 21,000 total membership.
The NSFA has a strong focus on retention, as it strives to have the highest retention rate of any Australian sporting organisation and ensuring it meets its purpose to provide accessible, inclusive and enjoyable football opportunities to our members.

How you’re helping
This fundraising campaign will support NSFA deliver Association wide mental health training to Club volunteers to create a network of wellbeing officers to support their members. In partnership with Man Anchor, the NSFA will provide training to 60 Club volunteers and representatives to create a network of mental health first aid certified wellbeing officers. This program will ensure each Club has access to mental health resources, protocols and a support officer along with building youth education programs within the Association. Our partnership and focus will be recognised each season by a Mental Health round to create awareness, highlight resources and raise funds.

Suicide is the leading cause of death in males aged between 16-44.
